New USCIS Form Editions and Temporary Grace Period

On 02/24/2025, USCIS released new editions of several immigration forms, including Forms I-485, I-485A, I-485J, I-508, I-508F, I-601, I-601A, I-612, I-912, I-918A, I-918B, I-918P Supplement B, I-929, I-134, and G-325A.

Initially, the agency required immediate use of the new versions with no grace period, causing disruption for applicants who had recently filed using prior editions. Following legal action challenging this abrupt implementation, USCIS updated its policy on 03/08/2025 to allow a temporary grace period. Applicants may continue using previous form editions for a limited time while transitioning to the updated versions.
