Visa Bulletin for April 2025

The April visa bulletin has been released, introducing several updates compared to the previous month. USCIS has announced that for April 2025, applicants in all family-sponsored preference categories must use the Dates for Filing chart, while those in employment-based preference categories must use the Final Action Dates chart. According to the April 2025 visa bulletin, the Dates for Filing for the Second Preference (F2A) category has moved from July 15, 2024, to October 15, 2024, reflecting an 8-month advancement. For the F2B category, the Dates for Filing remains unchanged at January 1, 2017. For employment-based filings, changes have been made compared to last month. The EB2 Final Action Date has advanced from May 15, 2023, to June 22, 2023. In the EB3 category, the Final Action Date has moved from December 1, 2022, to January 1, 2023. Additionally, the Final Action Date for Other Workers has progressed from February 1, 2021, to May 22, 2021. This month's visa bulletin also confirms that the Diversity Immigrant category for Europe remains at 16,000 for May.
